"Cloud" is an interesting term to use to describe network connection.  This summer I was given the luxury of playing with Google apps on an SBISD i-pods touches.  Students are going to enjoying working with these apps.  Students are living in a techy world and learning quickly how to use these device.  This will be a great new resource to take into the classroom.

Videos are a great tool to use in the classroom.  Many students are only exposed to their intermediate surrounds and do not get to experiences the outside world.  Through videos students are able to learn with a better image and make connections.  Discovery Education has videos that range in all levels and meet different curriculum. This video in particular informs the learner about the food chain.  Students are able to witness how living things depend on other living things in order to survive.

I'm finding blogging a bit difficult and frustrating.  I've tried multiple times this summer and was not successful.  However, I have enjoyed reading other blogs and getting to know my fellow teachers.  I have noticed that blogging is building a stronger online community among teachers.  PLN are great for reading new ideas and learning strategies I can use in my classroom next year.

Tool 1

Creating a blog account was a bit difficult.  Our accounts were not acceptiable and we had to do extra steps in order to get started. The most fun thing about this was choosing a background and name.  I do not like talking about myself or life.  So this will be a fun experience.
